776BC takes to the boats
Sportswear company 776BC has signed as official apparel partner and sponsor of the Australian rowing team.
Rowing Australia announces a four-year partnership with 776BC, founded by two-time Olympian and Beijing Silver medallist, Cameron McKenzie-McHarg and wife Kate.
The Melbourne-based company is also a supporter of the Victorian Institute of Sport and compression partner of the Australian Sailing Team.
Named after the start date of the ancient Olympic Games, 776BC offers “a range of products and services designed to enhance athletic performance.”
This partnership will see 776BC provide clothing and uniform services to Rowing Australia’s staff and for the organisation’s event activities, while also kitting out all the Australian rowing teams.
RA chief executive Michael Scott, says the partnership will see Australia’s best rowers be the first to compete on the world stage wearing 776BC’s new Motion range, performance clothing using biometric and anatomical lines and markers on the garments to assess an athlete’s movement.
This allows coaches and instructors to provide better, more accurate feedback in real time, anywhere.
Motion has been developed in partnership with biomechanics specialists BAT Logic and sports scientists at the Victorian Institute of Sport. The product has been tested with elite athletes across multiple disciplines.
