Ispo Shanghai reports massive event

Ispo Shanghai reports massive event Ispo Shanghai trade show closed this week after a four-day event, recording a boost in exhibitors and brand numbers.

Organised by Messe Munich and its Chinese associates, around 14000 visitors attended the three-day show and the Demo day held the day before was popular with retailers, brand distributors and sports enthusiasts to test the latest products on site.

The show collaborated with TMall. China’s largest B2C online retailer who checked out the 572 exhibitors and 668 brands.

Most popular linked events included soccer, running, rockclimbing, and the ever-popular watersports demo area (pictured).

Popular too, were the workshops on sustainability with Brands for good, and Sports Tech Asia was held with Ispo Shanghai for the first time.

Under the slogan “Outdoor Technology. Smart Sports. Future Fashion.” visitors were given the opportunity to learn more about technological innovations in the sports sector such as using 3D printing in the production of sport shoes.

And those weren’t the only changes at the multi-segment sports fair at the Shanghai New International Expo Center.

Messe München has a new hall concept for 2017 with three theme worlds, Nature and Elements, Speed and Strength, Urban and Lifestyle focusing on running and fitness, outdoor, water sports, textile trends, and action sports.

The new theme worlds offer better orientation for visitors and easier communication within “theme worlds” for exhibitors, 72 percent coming from China. The remainder came from Europe, the US, and the Asian and Pacific region.

As at all Ispo trade fairs, the Business Solutions, Academy, and Ispo Textrends as well as the Market Introduction Program (which helps companies taking their first steps in Asia, were all represented in Shanghai.

Ispo Shanghai 2018 will be held on July 5-7 in SNIEC
