Chief Executive Officer
|Sport NSW Chair Joseph LaPosta has launched a search for a new chief executive who will lead the strategic direction of Sport NSW and be responsible for the delivery of services to members.
The chief executive is responsible for advancing the interests of Sport NSW throughout New South Wales and is accountable to the Board of Sport NSW and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of this peak membership sporting body and accountable for driving and delivering the commercial and strategic priorities as set by the Board.
To be considered, candidates will need to be a dynamic and motivated leader, with the ability to engage and develop lasting, positive relationships with member organisations and key stakeholders.
They will need to be able to demonstrate a successful track record in managing a member-based organisation and working with volunteers.
They will have the skill to navigate through complex issues prioritising, managing and delivering outcomes that fulfil the commercial and strategic priorities of Sport NSW and have experience in working with state and federal Ministers and state departments.
This is a unique opportunity to lead, represent and support the sport industry in NSW, to encourage and assist more people to enjoy the immense benefits that sport can provide for individuals and communities.

• Current chief executive Cheryl Battaerd will be departing her position on May 12 after two years to relocate north for family reasons.
