Surfing Australia signs with NudieNudie Foods and Surfing Australia join in a three year partnership, including naming rights sponsorship of the Australian Boardriders Battle.
The Battle is officially sanctioned by the World Surf League which allows Tour surfers the opportunity to represent their local boardriders club at state qualifying events and the national final, involving more than 60 of Australia’s best boardriders clubs in eight state qualifying rounds starting in September and culminating in a national final in February.
Over the next three years, more than $450,000 will be invested into grassroots clubs through the partnership.
Nudie also becomes the naming rights partner to the first Australian Adaptive Surfing Titles for physically-challenged surfers, the Soldier On surf therapy programme and Surf for Life Project foundation offering underprivileged Australian kids the opportunity to experience surfing.
At each of the nudie Australian Boardriders Battle State events and National Final, Surfing Australia will provide the opportunity for Surf for Life kids to receive their very own surf session along with the chance to meet and greet the stars of Australian club surfing.
To assist in leveraging this partnership, professional surfer and artist Felicity Palmateer has been named as Nudie ambassador.
