ASTN seeks new chief as Hill moves onChair of the Australian Sports Technology Network James Demetriou reports that a new executive director is being sought, with the resignation of foundation director Craig Hill.
Hill has worked in the role for four years, says Demetriou, “It is with regret that I announce that our inaugural Executive Director Craig Hill has decided to resign effective February 6, and we will formally acknowledge Craig’s contribution at our annual meeting then.
“Hill will continue to support the ASTN on special projects, including our trade missions, Sports Tech Start-up content playbook and some mentoring for selected start-ups.
“He has advised me that he has given everything he has to the ASTN over this four year establishment period, and it was time for new energy and leadership, ” says Demetriou.
• Tarik Bayrakli is new ASTN communications and membership manager. He has assisted in ASTN activities over the past four years and comes with a background in sports and member engagement within his role as General Manager at Sports Without Borders and a Masters degree in Sports Management and Commerce.
