Diadora dresses Aussie team for Games
Diadora is again the official competition and training wear supplier for 2018 Australian Commonwealth Games team.
The Gold Coast games uniforms will be locally conceptualized and designed by Diadora in close consultation with Commonwealth Games Australia and athletes.
This will be the brand’s second Commonwealth Games , with Glasgow in 2014 gaining positive feedback.
Commonwealth Games Australia Chief Executive Craig says, “Outfitting a team of up to 450 athletes from 18 different sports is not an easy task, but with the experience of 2014, we are confident that Diadora will deliver our team a great uniform that our athletes will be proud to wear. ”
GC2018 is set to be the biggest sporting event in Australia this decade.
Diadora Australia Managing Director, Bill Tyson says, “The Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games is a wonderful opportunity for Diadora to showcase our capabilities, with world-class product to meet our athletes’ needs and supporter wear products for all Australians. ”
Diadora is reported to be working to develop, design and produce “an innovative polo shirt that is made of 50 percent recycled plastic bottles to illustrate the team’s commitment to a sustainable Games. ”
